Back home/back online!

After four extremely rewarding years of living abroad in South Korea, I have finally arrived back in my home town of Melbourne in Australia.

Much as I thoroughly enjoyed my time in South Korea (there are some people there and things about the country that I miss already), I have really missed my family and friends whilst I have been away and I am absolutely delighted to be back home in familiar surroundings.

I am also back online after having almost completely dropped off face of the earth in terms of the blogosphere over the course of the last two months. I certainly intend to start contributing as much as I can to discussions on some of your blogs again as much as possible in the near term future. In addition, I also intend to post either one or two discussions (according to other time commitments) here on this blog.

I’m so happy to be home again!

There’s nothing like coming home after being away for a little while, right? Well, except for the catching up part… but it just feels great. Glad you’re home and enjoyed your adventure!

Andrew, welcome back! I read this post the other night with a huge smile upon my face. I kept meaning to dash over and welcome you back but always got distracted along the way. I can only imagine how lovely it must be to be back home with your family. Leaving somehow makes returning even sweeter. I love the family photo and am so glad you shared. Will you stay at home for awhile or take another assignment abroad?

    Hi Karen,

I think I’ll stay home for another couple of years at least.

I’m looking for work at the moment and I have a part-time course in professional writing which I would like to start next year. So if things go according to plan, I will stay back home down under (in Australia) for the next few years.

However, I certainly wouldn’t rule out ever going back overseas to live again, and I will certainly continue to travel overseas on occasions if I have the opportunity.
