Dear readers,

I would like to wish a merry Christmas and a happy new year to you and all of your families.

There have been a number of interesting comments from a variety of people during 2009. My sincere gratitude extends to all who have contributed to the discussions. I have certainly enjoyed writing on this blogĀ as well as engaging in discussions on each of your blogs.

    Yes, I was interested to see that on the news the other day. I did not previously realize that some Eastern Orthodox national churches still operate according to the Julian calendar which, as I understand it, places the date of December 25 on what by our calendar would be January 07.

    Anyhow, thank you kindly and I hope you and your family enjoyed a safe and happy time over the Christmas/New year period.
