Dear readers,
Today, I would like to give a round up of interesting blogs which I have been reading lately.
For this purpose blogs have been separated into three catagories;
• Blogs relating specifically to business ethics
• Blogs relating to business in general; and
• Other blogs which do not relate specifically to business, but which I also find interesting.
Business Ethics Blogs (alphabetical order)
Lauren Bloom’s Blog: Business Ethics speaker and consultant Lauren Bloom discusses a wide range of issues relating to ethics in business and/or politics.
Lauren demonstrates a very broad knowledge and experience base in her writing, which reflects her passion for raising awareness of the impact and importance of ethical business conduct.
A must read for any student of business ethics.
The Business Ethics Blog: Written by Chris McDonald, a philosopher and ethicist who is an associate professor at St. Mary’s University in Canada.
The insightful and informative discussions on this blog are testament to the degree of knowledge and depth of insight which Chris has developed through years of study and professional experience.
Comments are not allowed on this blog, and those who wish to engage in discussion may find other blogs more suitable. Nevertheless, it still makes a wonderful resource for those wishing to further their knowledge about a range of ethical issues relating to business.
Other Business Blogs (alphabetical order)
Moolah Blog:
This looks an interesting blog which I discovered for the first time last week. Tony Tovar, an Econmics student at Austin University writes with a passion for Finance and Economics.
In particular, I loved Tony’s discussion about the tricks used by stockbrokers to dissuade clients from selling shares.
Word Sell Inc: One of the very first blogs I visited when I commenced blogging last year – and still one of my favorites.
Sales and marketing consultant Brad Shorr covers topics relating to business, sales and marketing, personal development and even politics.
Brad’s writing style reflects humor, wit and an extensive vocabulary. He is also a frequent contributor to discussions on this blog, and I thoroughly appreciate his input.
Words for Hire: Another one I have discovered only recently.
A truly uplifting blog in which Karen Swim shares some insights and inspiration about life, career and business.
I just loved Karen’s recent entry where she described her intention to run for president of the United States, pledging to ‘run a clean campaign and honor my campaign promises.’
Karen, you have my vote – oh, but one problem – I’m not actually a U.S. citizen.
Other Interesting Blogs I read (alphabetical order)
Change Therapy: A highly valued contributor to both my previous blog as well as my current blog, psychotherapist Isabella Mori has a range of very deep and engaging discussions about a broad range of issues relating to health, well being and happiness.
Confident Writing: Here’s a blog which taps into something that is relevant to many, if not all of us in the blogosphere – strategies for effective writing.
On this blog, writing coach Joanna Young shares some key strategies in how to develop a high level of confidence as well as the ability to write in a clear, effective manner.
Personally, this is one blog I will certainly be watching with great interest as I seek to develop and improve my writing skill and ability.
Middle Zone Musings: If ever you feel like reading some good honest discussion from a friendly fellow with a big heart, this blog is for you.
Since discovering Robert Hruzek’s blog a few weeks ago, I now check back to this one every time I feel like I need to smile.
So for those who want to “Have a seat, take a load off and relax,” as Robert puts it, click on over to this one and indulge yourself as Robert shares his thoughts and “musings” about life, the universe, and lessons which he has learned.
The fists of despair: (some course language) The title says it all about the emotional impact of this blog, in which Iron Pugilist, a young Filipino/Australian and frequent contributor to discussions in my previous blog, shares his frustrations as he tries to find his place in life.
I was particularly engaged by an entry about one month ago, where he describes being rejected by a girl for whom he had strong feelings. This is certainly an experience which I, and no doubt many other men, can relate to.
Violinkid.com: Last, but not least as this list is ordered alphabetically.
Nineteen year old VK is an entrepreneurial minded Australian with a vision for his future - One million dollars by age 30.
VK reminds me of where I was twelve years ago, only my goal was age 25. OK, I didn’t quite that dream happen myself, but with three online businesses, VK is certainly giving it his best shot.
Venture with him as he shares his life through his personal blog. Can he turn his dreams into reality?
