		<description>Hi Karen,

I think that your last comment is particularly important. It is particularly critical for us to keep our priorities in order, both at and individual level and at a broader society level.

Money and other material things have their place, but ultimately, their importance pales in comparison to the need to maintain social harmony and to attend to broader social concerns.

Cheers

<description>Hi Andrew! Welcome back! When it comes to investing and spending I choose to deal with companies that engage in ethical and socially responsible practices. I disagree that SIR is anti-business. It is not only possible to earn a good ROI while being socially responsible but companies that do, are fulfilling a higher good. We all owe a debt to this planet upon which we dwell and the people which inhabit it. Many of the problems in the Western world anyway have resulted from us placing a higher value on the dollar that human concerns.

<description>Andrew, Welcome back. Your analysis is right on. People can construct all sorts of rationalizing arguments, but ultimately it boils down to whether you want to make money, period, or make money and help people whether or not it helps you make money. I didn&#039;t say that very well, but hope you get the drift.
