Hi Andrew – I hadn’t heard Mr Rajan’s story. What a brave man. I hope he survived.

I agree with what you were just saying to Brad – the media ought to be focusing on the stories of the survivors. The terrorists shouldn’t be given heaps of attention, because that is what they want.

Exactly right, Brad. Media attention should be focused first and foremost upon the pain of the event from the perspective of victims and their families. Beyond that, whilst it is fine to look at who the perpetrators were and what they did, I would like to see a lot more attention given to those who demonstrated courage and sacrifice and considerably less attention to those who committed mass murder. Andrew, What a horrifying yet inspiring story. It's a pity the media focuses on murderous thugs and seldom talks about heroic people like Mr. Rajan. On a much lesser note, we see the same thing in sports. Athletes in trouble with the law hog the headlines. No wonder we are all in a gloomy mood.
